Premier Manufacturing’s NEW 1400 and 1400H Couplings replace the 100-4 and 100-4H Couplings that have been used in heavy-duty applications for many years.
These hitches are the first of our Silver Series line. They are easy to operate with strike-resistant latching and a popular mounting pattern making them the ideal hitch for many industries and applications.
Using the latest in technology, engineers effectively moved material where it is needed most resulting in a reduction in weight and an increase in strength. With updated material specifications, the new 1400 and 1400H have a 40% increase in minimum surface hardness creating a significant reduction in wear. Additionally, the latch capacity has increased from 20,000 pounds to 60,000 pounds.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The pushrod length is different than the 100-4 and the 100-4H. The pushrod length for the 1400 and the 1400H is 3 5/8in (92 mm).

820ELA Extended Life Coupling Assembly
Featuring Premier’s new SAF-T-LATCH, our innovative 820ELA Coupling Assembly offers an exceptionally safe, strong, and easy to use latch mechanism, Extended Life (EL) lubrication points, and the most popular bolt hole pattern in the industry.
The latch mechanism includes a small auxiliary air cylinder that is connected to our 281 or 282 Air Chamber. This assists in ensuring the latching mechanisms is closed while the vehicle is in motion. This coupling must be used with an air service chamber.

690L/690R Drop Pintle Coupling
Premier’s 690L Drop Pintle Coupling offers similar features to our 590 (discontinued), but with higher load capacities. The pintle hook/horn is made of our exclusive Premalloy for maximum wear resistance. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 90,000 lbs., the 690L is perfect for all of your mid-to-heavy-duty applications.

580J Coupling
With the same rugged features of our 580, the 580J Coupling offers a higher load rating and slightly different mounting pattern. Protected internal latch parts, easy lubrication, and ease of operation are trademarks of Premier’s 80-series couplings. 580 Coupling
A long time favorite of the logging industry, Premier’s 580 Coupling offers a low profile and popular mounting pattern. An external oil cup enables easy lubrication of internal latch components. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 70,000 lbs. and 30,000 lbs. latch capacity, the 580 is your perfect choice for mid-to-heavy-duty applications.
570 Slack Reducing Coupling
When vertical clearance is at a premium, the 570 slack reducing coupling may be your solution. Our 570 offers a bottom mount air chamber, low profile, and strong latching system. An oil cup is provided to quickly and easily lubricate the latch. This coupling must be used with an air service chamber. We recommend our 281C. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 90,000 lbs. and 20,000 lbs. latch capacity, this is the perfect product for your heavy-duty applications.
